Student COVID-19 Contest

Caprock Auction Group is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a student art and writing contest, focused on the impact COVID-19 has had on our area students.  This contest will be open to K-12th grade students in the Texas Panhandle and will be submitted and judged 100% online.  Students may compete in one or both categories, including art (any medium) and writing (short essay, long essay, short story or poetry).  Each category will compete based on age group; K-4th, 5th-8th, and 9th-12th, and is based on classification of the 2019-2020 school year.  Entries will include the student’s Art and/or English teacher and their school they attend.

Each category will be based on the following criteria:  creativity, uniqueness and applicability.  The focus of the project should reflect the student’s experience with the COVID-19 pandemic and how it is impacting them physically, socially and academically.

The prizes for each category and age group will be the same.  Each segment will be eligible for two awards; four (4) Sod Poodles tickets will be awarded to the winner and two (2) Sod Poodles tickets to the runner up in each category and age classification, for a total of six (6) tickets awarded per section.
