Grant Purpose Statement:
Supporting gardens that enhance opportunity, awareness, and sense of community by providing nutrition, wellness and education.
Applicants:
Grant applicants may include schools, communities, care facilities, not-for-profit organizations, and any other entity that supports the HSN mission in the Middle Tennessee area. Though previous grant recipients may apply each year, if an applicant has not sent a progress report and/or has not completed their prior project or used their prior grant funding, they may not apply for the 2023 grant.
Deadline & Dates:
Application proposals must be received on or before February 1, 2023. The application must be submitted in electronic form.
• Upon receipt of the application, you will receive a confirmation email.
• Announcement of grant recipient(s) will be made by March 1, 2023.
• Grantees must agree to submit a progress report by October 15, 2023 to the grant committee that includes details of how the project was started and developed, people involved, impact to date, before and after photos of project space, people, etc. and how the money was used (identify specific items in the original budget).
• Chosen applicants agree to allow HSN to publicize their project details on our website and in any appropriate media.
Grant Dollar Amount:
The maximum amount available for the 2023 grant is $7000, which may be awarded to one applicant or may be divided among several at the discretion of the selection committee.
