TECHNICAL THEATRE CLASS - Instructor: Elizabeth Bolster, Colleen Callahan, Abigail Copeland, Adam Jackson, T. Rick Jones
Students will learn components of Technical Theatre from industry professionals at the Legacy Theatre.
There will be dedicated sessions for Costume Design, Prop Design, Scenic Design, Sound Design, and Lighting Design, with practical application. Fee - $175
Creating Your Own Solo Show - Instructor: Julie Fitzpatrick
Over the course of this small class limited to six students, we will explore our life stories and dramatize a moment or happening within them focusing on a ten minute excerpt which will be staged in the final week of class. Open to ages 12 and above. Fee - $175 (CLASS AT CAPACITY)
Adults with Autism Improv Class - Instructor: Mary Lou Lauricella and Nick Fetherston
ASRC at Clifford Beers Community Health Partners joins with Legacy Theatre for an Acting Improv class for Adults with Autism. Join Mary Lou Lauricella and Nick Fetherston in fun, interactive classes to practice working on spontaneity and flexibility in a safe and exciting environment in the beautifully restored Legacy Theatre in Branford. Fee - $175
Adult Improv - Instructor: Mary Lou Lauricella
Enjoy the exploration of improvisation in 8 weeks of fun and engaging exercises and scenes. Let yourself play again while improving your spontaneity, listening skills and ability to be more present through the art of improvisation. There will be the option of participating in a showcase at The Legacy. Fee - $175
Adult Acting - Instructor: Julie Fitzpatrick
A scene study class in which we will explore the basics of acting technique focusing on communication, authenticity, physicality, humor, vulnerability and passion. Class is open to high school students and above. Very little experience is necessary! Fee - $175 (CLASS AT CAPACITY)
TOURING- Shakespeare’s Legacy
45-minute production of scenes and educational talkbacks touring middle and high schools.
"Shakespeare's Legacy" is a touring, interactive and entertaining two-person production of scenes and skits celebrating the Bard, giving a fascinating overview of his life and works! The performance involves engaging questions and interactions with the audience throughout and concludes with an interactive workshop in which three volunteers are directed in a short (and funny!) Shakespearean scene from one of the Bard's most famous texts! Can play a space of any size, and includes excerpts from Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Macbeth, Richard III, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Tempest, and additional scenes can be added for special requests.
