AWMD CHANGE OF NAME SURVEY

Open Foundation West Africa in our bid to start a developer community on the African continent and to encourage more developers to volunteer for the Wikimedia Foundation came up with the initiative of the African Wikimedia Developers Project (AWMD) . After years of this project, we are in the process of re-branding and expanding the whole project into a technical community that will be focusing on grooming and managing technical contributors in Africa.

So far, we have been able to grow a technical community which involves not only developers but other technical contributors like: Designers, translators for localization, Documentation writers, Data Science Professionals (Data Scientists,Data Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, AI professionals and NLP Specialists) and QA Engineers from Automated Testers to Manual Testers.

With these professionals in this community and some tech enthusiasts who are willing to learn in order to contribute to the movement technically, We would like to change the name of the project from " African Wikimedia Developers Project" to "African Wikimedia Technical Community", to ensure that the aforementioned contributors can also be a part of the project.
We do not want to take this decision on our own, however as Leaders of the project, we would love to know what the community thinks about the new name.
