The projects for sessions 1 and 2 will be vessels constructed with coils and slabs.

Session 3 (Mornings) - July 5th, 7th and 9th from 9am-12pm, 13th and 15th from 9:30am-12pm
Session 4 (Afternoons) -July 5th, 7th and 9th from 2pm-5pm, 13th and 15th from 2:30pm-5pm
The projects for sessions 3 and 4 will be pinch pot, slab and coil-built planters and wall hanging planters with carved textures.

Session 5 (Mornings) - August 2nd, 4th and 6th from 9am-12pm, 10th and 11th from 9:30am-12pm
Session 6 (Afternoons) - August 2nd, 4th and 6th from 2pm-5pm, 10th and 11th from 2:30pm-5pm
The projects for sessions 5 and 6 will be a variety of slab-built pieces with stamped and rolled on textures.

About the Camp:
These 5-day camps will allow persons ages 8 and up to explore different types of hand-built pieces. Structured for beginners and intermediate artists, we will learn about pinch pots, coil-building and slab-building and apply each method to form the designated projects. This will take place during the first week (Mon, Wed, Fri) and over the weekend your pieces will endure their first firing, known as a bisque firing, where they will reach a temperature of 1945°F. The second week (Tues and Thurs for sessions 1-4, Tues and Wed for sessions 5 and 6) you will glaze your now "bisqueware" using a variety of different colors. After we have finished glazing,  your pieces will undergo the final glaze firing reaching a temperature of 2167°F. This last step will then leave you with a variety of pieces to cherish and enjoy! (finished pieces will need to be picked up the following week).

***Important Information:
Up to 6 students per session. Fees for this camp are $300 plus a $30 material fee. This will also include up to one hour of open studio time available to each student if desired. Make-up classes for any days missed may be available during future camp sessions depending on availability.
