As we continue our work on building an anti-racist union and district, we want to be mindful of how we create structures to support this work. Some options include affinity groups (for example, groups for Educators of Color, or groups for particular racial and ethnic identities like Latinx Educators or Black Educators) and working groups (Unafraid Educators, Anti-Racism Committee, Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee). We are open to these or other structures! We want to be responsive to members' desires in this work, particularly our members of color. If you are interested in creating or joining a committee or affinity group of this nature, please describe which of these options interests you and why. More than one is a fine answer. If you are comfortable, please note your background; again, this is to help us make sure we are being responsive to our members of color. Last year only three people expressed interest so we're trying again!
