First Choice
Second Choice
Third Choice
Fourth Choice
Fifth Choice
1) Full online instruction
2) Attend 2 days per week
3) Attend every other week
4) Attend 4 days a week
5) Attend 5 days a week
1. Remain completely online for all courses at all grade levels. In regards to potential health risk, this may be considered the safest option, however there are many challenges for many families with supporting online instruction at home.
2. Have half of a class attend 2 days per week with the other half attending 2 days a week to keep class sizes small and be able to social distance as much as possible. It is unlikely we could require every student to wear a mask at all times. The District would increase cleaning protocols and would make hand sanitizer broadly available. Playground and large-group activity and meeting spaces would be greatly restricted. At least for the Fall Semester there would be no field trips and visitors to the building would be strictly limited. In regards to potential health risk, this may be the safest in-person approach, as it limits the number of students each child is exposed to and also permits for greater physical distancing of students.
3. Have half of a class attend every other week and the other half attend the alternating week to keep class sizes small and be able to social distance as much as possible.
4. Return to school with all students 4 days a week. The fifth day, likely Wednesday, would be a distance learning day so that students and caregivers will have experience with this process in the event of a school closure due to illness or weather. This would not allow for much social distancing and it is unlikely we could require every student to wear a mask at all times. The District would increase cleaning protocols and would make hand sanitizer broadly available. Playground and large-group activity and meeting space would be greatly restricted. At least for the Fall Semester there would be no field trips and visitors to the building would be strictly limited. In regards to potential health risk, this option has more risk.
5. Return to school with all students 5 days a week. The District would schedule 1 - 2 distance learning days per month. In regards to potential health risk, this may be considered the option with the most risk.
