CORE CONCEPTS OF CALCULUS

Program Fee: $288

This 24 hour course is taught by Jason Saccomano and is designed for students who have completed an Algebra 2 course successfully and want to learn the strong foundation of Pre-Calculus/ Early/Calculus. Topics that will be covered:

UNIT 1-LIMITS:
Evaluating Limits from Graphs
Evaluating Limits Analytically
Continuity

UNIT 2- DERIVATIVES:
Evaluating Derivatives: Basic Rules

The Limit Definition of the Derivative

Derivatives with Algebraic and Trig Simplification

UNIT 3-DERIVATIVE APPLICATIONS:

Application of Derivatives: Graphing. Inc./Dec./Relative Max/Min Absolute Max/Min and Calculator

Application of Derivatives: The second derivative, concavity, making charts from graphs, calculator Application of Derivatives: Relationships between the graphs of f, f’, f’’

Application of Derivatives: Particle Motion
