Topic: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

When you've been excluded from having a seat at the table, you know there are three options. You can lose out on the meat of the conversation and the relationships that come with it. You can fight for your right to share a space with those who shut you out. Or, you can build your own table and make your own dinner.

This month, the topic at Storytellers Macon is "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and we're sharing tales on what it means to break bread together. Just like the 1967 classic film of the same name, we're delving deep into the uncomfortable. Are you the black sheep at the table or have you been part of the in-group while others are at the kids' table? Have you ever had to re-evaluate your thinking or undo internal biases after a moment unsettled your stomach?
