NPS - In Person Learning Survey - Elementary Schools
On March 5, 2021, the Board of Education voted to give Commissioner Riley the authority to determine when hybrid and remote models will no longer count as school days. On March 9, 2021, the Commissioner announced that elementary schools must transition to full-time, in-person instruction five days per week starting Monday, April 5, 202. Middle schools must begin full-time, in-person instruction five days per week, starting Wednesday, April 28, 2021. A deadline for the resumption of fully in-person learning at the high school will be announced shortly.

As the new requirements take effect, caregivers will have the opportunity to choose to have their children attend fully in-person or fully-remote learning. Hybrid learning will not be an option once the new requirements become effective. Any child who is not currently in the district remote class, whose caregiver chooses fully remote learning, will be placed in the district remote class that currently exist and will not be with the teacher they have during hybrid learning.

In order to understand the needs of the community, please take a few minutes to complete the in-person learning survey. Please note that a survey needs to be completed for each student you have enrolled in the Northampton Public Schools. This survey is for elementary students only. There are separate surveys for middle and high school students.  If a survey is not completed by March 19, 2021, you will be contacted to obtain your decision, so your student is appropriately scheduled.
