The Senior Music Workshop is a full-day workshop for Year 11 and 12 music students from NSW public schools and their teachers.

Presentations and workshops will be led by experienced markers and teachers, participants will develop their understanding of the concepts of music and explore music as an art form through performance, musicology, composition and aural activities. This collaboration will support senior students in the preparation of performance and written responses for their HSC.

The study day also provides teachers with the opportunity to network and enjoy professional dialogue with colleagues.

Students must attend with a supervising teacher from their school. If this is not possible, please contact Sue Dawson to discuss available options.

Schools have the option of the following 2 workshops:

Date: Thursday 23 May 2024 (Term 2 Week 4)
Time: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Venue: Mulwaree High School
Cost: $10 per student

Senior Music Workshop - Cooma

Date: Friday 24 May 2024 (Term 2 Week 4)
Time: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Venue: Monaro High School
Cost: $10 per student

Student performances with feedback

As part of the workshop there will be the opportunity for students to perform for a panel for feedback. Please list below a MAXIMUM of 3 pieces to be performed for the panel and students. Students must be in Year 12.
Please list in order of preference and include all relevant information for each piece.
For example: name of student/s in performance, name of piece, length of piece, instrument/s, equipment required.

We understand that the school will be charged $10 per student attendance fee. This will be done via interschool journal following the workshop..

All students have been given the attendance and permission to publish form. These forms will be kept at the school.

I will bring a roll on the day to be handed in at registration. On the roll I will indicate any students with medical action plans or those without permission to publish.

A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
