In June 2023, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to bring a newly invented card game, Private Joke, to life. PJ ignites conversations about foreign languages; together, using foreign letters, groups of 3-8 players invent their own words for shared human experiences that we don't have yet words for. 

The catch? Some of those words do exist! To get drunk home alone in nothing but your underwear? Finnish. To borrow from a friend's house until there is nothing left? Pascuense (Easter Island).

PJ is hilarious and entertaining. Think if Scrabble and Cards Against Humanity had a baby.

Having tested the game with hundreds of people aged 13-80 both in France and the UK, we can say with confidence that the game is accessible to all language abilities - whether you speak one language (English) or ten. We've even found that those with Dyslexia have a tendency to win due to their creative lens. 

While you wait for us to manufacture your PJ and design the digital edition, we have fortnightly meet ups over the summer for you to meet other likeminded creative souls and discover new languages.
