Knights LEAD builds leaders who will make an impact at the university, in their communities, and in their careers. This program is open to first-year students who were in high school or college leadership roles in the past as well as those who are seeking new opportunities to lead and develop leadership skills. Students will develop skills that make them competitive for internships, campus leadership roles, and academic honors.
Participants will engage in team-based leadership roleplays where they apply their skills to practical situations and build relationships with peers. Students will also have opportunities to participate in a corporate tour, the MGA Student Leadership Conference, the MGA Student Leadership Challenge, and service projects. As MGA's co-curricular leadership program designed for first-year students, activities are focused on learning about leadership within the context of the NACE Career Competencies.
Optional Living Learning Community (LLC) for Students Living On Campus in Macon & Cochran: Students registering for the Knights LEAD program and living on campus can also join an optional Living Learning Community (LLC) in which they will be housed with other Knights LEAD participants. Members of the LLC will have the opportunity to participate in additional leadership development activities coordinated by MGA's Housing & Residence Life staff and professional staff in the Center for Career & Leadership Development.
To participate in the optional LLC portion of Knights LEAD, you will need to
complete the MGA Housing Application and indicate your interest on this registration form.
