Connected Parents Training (How to Connect, Empower, Correct Your Child or Your Students)
Trust Based Relational Interventions, an evidence based Approach To Connecting with, Empowering and Correcting Children.

At the heart of TBRI parenting are empowering methods that primarily *connect* with the child, where the IDEAL response allows parents to *correct* the child’s behavior while building trusting *relationships* with the child. *Connect, Empower Correct.*

What do you do when your child or your student is displaying some tough behavior?  Especially if they have undergone trauma or some childhood challenges? Learn how to begin to decode the behavior in order to heal and help your parent-child relationship.  You do not have to do this alone.

It would be good for us young and old parents, guardians, soon-to-be parents, teachers, school leaders, sunday and preschool teachers, lay social workers to walk this journey with *Max McGee*, who’s been in this field for over 10 years now.

He is an adoptive father who has also had to learn this method of parenting along the way. He is an expert trainer who understands and lives out this model, and more so he approaches it with a biblical mindset.

So Join Max McGhee for 7 Monday evenings targeting Rwandan parents and educators and child development champions. He will unpack the principles behind Trust-Based Relational Interventions bringing hope and practical help on your tough parenting or educator's journey.

*TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention)*. TBRI is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. This could be a child that has gone through extremely traumatic experiences (adopted from an orphanage/foster care, formerly a street kid, witnessed wars, separations and family violence), or it could be parents of children that have been raised in a relatively placid, calm environment but still want to have a deeper understanding of TBRI principles. This emerging model deals with a wide range of childhood behaviors.

With that said, I want to welcome you as we walk through a journey of understanding these principles together.

It would be good for us young and old parents, guardians, soon-to-be parents, Sunday and preschool teachers, lay social workers to walk this journey with *Max McGee*, a mate who’s been in this field for over 10 years now. He is an adoptive father who has also had to learn this method of parenting along the way. We have been with Him in different trainings and can attest that He understands this model, and moreso approaches it with a biblical mindset.

Recently, while in Rwanda, I asked Him if He would love to share these experiences with us. He said He would absolutely love it - all that He’s waiting for is a group of committed people over *Zoom*.

Given how weekdays are stretching, and weekends equally demand family time, we would have 2 sessions where early risers can have a *6PM - 7:30PM* session on Monday while those who have to put kids to bed would start at *8:30PM - 10PM* on Monday as well .... this would be initially done in English. We are scheduled to start on the *31st of October* and this would be recurring for *8 weeks* (subject to Christmas and New Year breaks). Will you be willing to dedicate an hour and a half of your Mondays for 8 weeks? Will you also suggest some couples or anybody else mentioned above that would benefit from this? Do let me know and I will give you more info.

*P.S*: Definitely encourage couples to try to attend together.

Many thanks, and God bless!!
