Thank you for your interest in the Museum of Discovery’s Girls in STEM Program. This program allows girls interested in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) careers to interact with our dedicated team of mentors made up of female STEM professionals from across the state. Through enriching conversations, field trips to educational institutions and businesses, and fun hands-on activities, participants will learn more about pursuing careers in STEM fields.

All new applicants must be entering the seventh grade in the 2021-2022 school year, to be eligible. This program is one week long, and is FREE for those who are chosen to participate. Applications are due by April 11th, 2021.  We have a limited number of placements for each week, so please apply early. Please make sure your application is complete, and all references are returned, before the deadline. Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Also, make sure that both of your references are submitted through the Google application and not to my email.

This year we are offering three Little Rock weeks, one of the weeks will be dedicated to our returning girls and the other two weeks will be dedicated to our new girls. Due to the restrictions and group gathering limitations, we will not host stacked weeks, as we have in the past. Please be advised that there will only be two Little Rock weeks for new girls to choose from instead of three, this year. We will also host our off site weeks as well in Stuttgart, Jonesboro, and Blytheville, as we have in the past. Remember that transportation, to all of the sites, is the girl's responsibility.  

 Please remember to adhere to and observe all safety protocol and guidelines. Participants, attending in person, will be required to wear masks throughout the duration of the sessions except for food breaks. Participants will be seated six feet from each other and will be provided hand sanitizer and wipes, at their disposal.
