Farm Internship
UD will fund up to three interns to work at Fresh To You, the University of Delaware’s organic farm. This summer, the farm is starting an employee community supported agriculture (CSA) program to increase access to fresh produce. Interns will be assisting in field work and packing CSA’s boxes. Duties will include plant care (weeding, propagating, pruning, transplanting and harvesting), interaction with CSA shareholders, and record keeping. Applicants do not need farm experience, but must be able to work in the heat and have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. The internship will run from May 2021 to October 2021. During the semester hours are flexible. Once summer begins interns will be expected to work up to 40 hours a week.
