SCEGGS Music Tuition Request Form
Students currently enrolled with a tutor do not need to reapply from year to year.

Students may take lessons in one instrument or voice in the Music Tuition program.
Students must commit to regular at-home practice.
Music lessons take place during regular class lesson time.
Preference for out-of-class lesson times is given to Senior and Elective music students.
Secondary students will advise their classroom teachers that they will be absent for a music lesson prior to it taking place and catch up on any missed work in their own time.
The cost of a weekly music lesson should be in the vicinity of $55 for a 30-minute lesson.
Students are encouraged to consider the study of instruments that are needed in ensembles,
e.g. Viola, Double Bass, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, French Horn, Bassoon and Voice.
Waiting lists exist when tutors reach capacity.
