Dublin City Council - Flood Data Access Request
Dublin City Council have been collecting and generating operational data relating to rainfall, river level, weather and general flooding since around 2012. Due to an increase in the demand for access to this type of data, Dublin City Council have decided to make this data available through the Smart Dublin Open Data portal under a CC-BY-A-NC license. This means that the data can only be used for non-commercial purposes.

Thank you for your enquiry and interest in Dublin City Council's Flood Data.

Please be aware that by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions detailed below:

1. You accept, acknowledge and agree that Dublin City Council makes no representations, warranties, guarantees or undertakings, whether expressed or implied, that the Flood Data published on the Smart Dublin Open Data portal is, without limitation, accurate, complete, free from error and up to date.
**Findings should be independently checked by a competent third party for validation and verification purposes.

2. You accept, acknowledge and agree that the Flood Data published on the Smart Dublin Open Data portal is for personal use or research and will not be used for commercial purposes. Any third parties wishing to access this data must be directed to the portal and or instructed to complete this form, and agree to the Terms and Conditions below unless prior consent has been agreed with the Smart Dublin team or Dublin City Council.

3. Smart Dublin and Dublin City Council reserve the right to terminate any “data sharing” agreement, at any time."

Sui generis data base rights means rights other than copyright resulting from Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases, as amended and/or succeeded, as well as other essentially equivalent rights anywhere in the world.This license applies for the term of the copyright and sui generis rights licensed here. You agree that you will not pass on any of the Flood Maps or any other content on the Website to any third party without ensuring that said party is fully aware of and accepts the Terms and Conditions.8.
