MLK South Volunteer Native Plug Planting

Please join The Wetlands Initiative, The Nature Conservancy, Lake County Parks & Recreation, and Audubon Great Lakes in the planting of several thousand native sedges and wildflowers at MLK South wetland.

This is a family friendly event. Volunteers will be trained in the proper planting of wetland plants. Water, snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.

This event will take place outdoors at MLK South wetland. Plug planting will require bending or crouching, and planting locations are not easily accessible by wheelchairs. The planting location is at the base of a 20-foot grassy slope. Please dress for the weather and wear close toed shoes or boots.
