The Personal Robots (
https://www.media.mit.edu/groups/personal-robots/overview/) group bridges the gap between intelligent personified technologies and human collaborative behavior.
We take a multidisciplinary approach that integrates human-centered design, psychology, aesthetics, and advanced computation to create personified technologies that can better understand, naturally communicate, collaborate, and support people more like a helpful companion than a smart tool.
We are continuing this Spring with our talk series, Ask a Robot. Anastasia K. Ostrowski, FRSA and a PhD student in the Personal Robots Group, and Hae Won Park, PhD, a research scientist in the Personal Robots Group coordinate the sessions.
The sessions are balanced between interactive sessions and guest speakers and discussions. Sometimes we share research opportunities with our lab but there is no research commitment for attending the talks.
If you are 60 years+ and interested in social robots and learning more about how this technology is being designed, we would love for you to join us!
