JASAL2023 Service Options
Your responses in this form will help the JASAL Board ensure that you have a great conference experience.

Attendees who have not already placed an order for a bento must bring lunch with them to the conference as there are no lunch options near the campus.

The morning charter bus is now full. All participants filling out this form after 4 October must use public transport (e.g., bus from outside JR Gifu station departs at 8:46 and arrives at 9:12).

Non-refundable reservations have been made for those who signed up to attend before 13 October at 壁の壁　岐阜店  (Kabe no Kabe) (https://kabenokabe.owst.jp/) for 20:00 on Saturday evening after the conference. Access: https://kabenokabe.owst.jp/map. 

Evening transportation is not provided by JASAL, and attendees are encouraged to use public transportation as listed on the conference webpage.

Sunday Hike up Kinka Mountain *

Meet at 9:45 at the fountain at Gifu Koen.

We will start hiking at 10:00 and be at the top before 11:30. The hike is quite easy. We will follow the Mizunotemichi trail. At the top you can visit the squirrel village and/or the castle if you like, then we can eat our lunch and head down. Bring a drink, and your own packed lunch. There is a cafe with ice-cream, drinks etc. at the top. With a leisurely lunch, we should be back down at the park by 2:30.

You can get a bus to the park from near JR Gifu Station platform 12 (e.g. N71 leaves at 9:25 and gets to the park at 9:38. N80 leaves at 9:33 and gets there at 9:46. Get off at “Gifu Koen - Rekishi Hakubutsukan-mae”).

If you are good at getting up early, you could go a bit earlier and visit the Daibutsu (opposite Komeda Coffee, a 3-minute walk from the park). It’s 200 yen and well worth it! (Or visit the Daibutsu after the hike). The park itself is also a nice place to chill and enjoy some nature (and of course has WCs and vending machines).

Payment Information
If you haven't yet paid your conference registration fee, please make one overall payment including the cost of the bento and reception. If you have already sent the conference fee, will not attend the dinner, and so are only paying for a bento, cash on the day of the conference will be accepted.
