Aquatic Leadership Course Interest Survey
WEA runs outdoor adventure programming and swimming lessons for youth.  We are looking at offering the following aquatic leadership courses in an outdoor setting this summer: NL, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Swim Instructor.  Please complete this survey if you are interested in attending/having your youth attend.

Specifics on courses such as pre-requisites, age requirments, swimming ability, etc. can be found here: https://www.lifesaving.bc.ca/ under programs.  We have listed the basics below.

Lifesaving Courses
  • Bronze Star - For youth under 13 that wish to take their Bronze Medallion
  • Bronze Medallion - 13 and older unless they have completed Bronze Star
  • Bronze Cross - Must have completed Bronze Medallion
Lifeguarding Courses
  • NL - National Lifeguard - Pool Certification - Must have completed Bronze Cross
Swim Instructor Courses
  • Lifesaving Swim Instructor - Requires Bronze Cross and 15 years old min.
  • Lifesaving Instructor/Examiner -  Requires Bronze Cross and 15 years old min.
