2024  Nola Funk Festival Food Vendor (Tent) Application & Information

Thank you for your interest in being a food vendor at the 2024 NOLA Funk Festival.  Please note that vendor spaces are limited and once approved, vendor acceptance will be on a first come, first serve basis -- pending approval by the festival. Final date for applications, payments and documents will be August 15th at 12:00 noon Central Time. Applicants will be contacted once they fill out the application below. Once selected, applicants will mail Payment and Deposit Checks to:

By completing and submitting this application, you agree to cooperate and comply with the following:

-Food Vendors are limited to selling 3 main items and 2 side dishes.
-Food Vendors are not allowed to share/split booths with other vendors.
-Food Vendors are not allowed to sell beverages of any kind.
-Food Vendors are not allowed to sell any menu item not previously approved by the NOLA Funk Fest.
-Vendor Fee is non-refundable unless the vendor is not approved by the NOLA Funk Fest organizers.
-Vendors are required to sell food during NFF Hours of Operation (Fri: 3- 9:30PM  /   Sat/Sun:  12-9:30PM)
-Vendors will receive a 10' X 10' White Nigh Peak tent, primary signage, menu signage, business name printed on souvenir map, NFF website, and social media.

Vendors Are Required To Provide:

1.  Two Checks made payable to Louisiana Music and Heritage Experience (ADDRESS) in the amounts of $1000.00(Vendor Fee) and $500.00 Clean Up/ Grease Deposit.  Vendors are expected to clean entire booth area.  Do NOT dispose of food or grease down the street/city drains.  Failure to properly clean your area will result in the forfeiture of your $500.00 deposit.  Cleaning crews will collect trash at the end of the day, however, please leave booth in a manner that is convenient to deal with (i.e. no open trash bags or grease buckets), If you use grease, please note that we will keep the deposit if your grease is not disposed of properly  and your space is not thoroughly cleaned of all grease residue, including grease stains on pavement, grass, and sidewalks.  PAYMENT IN FULL BY SEPTEMBER 15, 2024.

2.  Certificate of Insurance (COI) indicating the following levels:  General Liability: $1,000,000.00  per occurrence / $2,000,000.00 Aggregate.  COI will name Nola Funk Fest, Louisiana Music and Heritage Experience, and New Orleans French Market as additionally insured.

3.  Special Events Occupational License for City/Parish of New Orleans.

4.  Menu and Prices.  Vendors can sell no more than 3 main dishes and 2 sides.

5.  Proper storage and serving equipment to keep foods a the safe temperature (hot must be 135 degrees or higher and cold foods 40 degrees or lower).  Submit a list of equipment.  The list must include but is not limited to cooking equipment, and any hot/cold holding.  Bring a thermometer for food equipment checks.  We expect you to take all measures commonly expected in the food industry and by the State of LouisianaBoard of Health to prepare and keep food safe for consumption.  

6.  Per the Fire Department, you must provide fire extinguishers  One 2A 10 B:C Fire Extinguisher and if you are cooking at your booth you must also provide One 40 B:C Fire Extinguisher.  ALL fire extinguishers in booth must be working & fully inspected and tagged by a Louisiana licensed company.  In addition, per the Fire Department, vendors must maintain booth positioning as marked to accommodate a 15' fire lane.  An onsite fire inspection by the City of New Orleans will be performed on the morning of the festival.  Refusal to adhere to there fire codes may result in the shutting down of your food booth.

7.  Food booths will be primarily located with in The Mint grounds at 400 Esplanade Ave.  Vendors will be individually instructed on line formation.  

8.  All food booths should prepare for the possibility of selling 500-1000 portions, please bring proper change.  Prior thought to staffing and on-site preparation is essential to maintaining moving food lines and happy festival patrons.

-$1000 in Change
-Adequate Staffing to Expedite Orders
-Additional Staffing to take customer orders before they reach the front of the line
-Simplified System for Order Recognition

9.  Sales Report and Feedback Form To Nola Funk Festival after the event.

*Information Must Be Submitted By:  August 15th, 2024.  There are many restaurants and vendors requesting to participate, so please submit your application  ASAP to confirm your spot.

Do you have the required 2024 Special Events Occupational License from the City of New Orleans?  These permits are good for one (1) calendar year and costs $50.00.   Permits can be obtained by visiting the Revenue Department at City Hall.
