TransLash Zine: Submission Inquiry Form
In collaboration with POC Zine Project, we're looking for art, writing, and photography that share your stories about surviving conversion therapy and detransitioning. All those featured will be paid $250. Share details about your proposed submission below, and a TransLash team member will be in touch by 5/11/22! Deadline to submit: 5/9/22. We can publish you anonymously if that makes you feel more comfortable; you will still be paid.

Please include your artist statement and your submission idea. Here are some prompts to support your submission pitch: 1) Did an authority figure try to get you to participate in conversion therapy? What happened? What advice do you have for someone who is going through that? 2) Did you ever consider detransitioning (either on your own or through being pressured by someone else)? What factors informed your choice? What would you like people to know about how this has impacted you, and what advice do you have for others? If surviving therapy or detransitioning is NOT your lived experience, we invite you to submit pitches that make clear what is your lived experience and what is not, and details about how your submission could fit into this issue.
