Date: 22 - 23 October 2022
Venue: Multimedia Theatre, HKSC Arts and Culture Centre, 135 Junction Road, Kowloon TSAI
Common Core is inviting a small group of undergraduate students to participate in a movement and multimedia art installation project held at the Multimedia Theatre at Hong Kong School of Creativity Arts and Culture Centre. The installation will explore themes of connection, entanglement, subtraction, and wellbeing. The experience for students involves assisting the director, choreographer and dancer, multimedia specialist, videographer, and other professionals in setting and recording the performance.
Participants will learn about setting up art installations, backstage support, lighting, and production and shooting procedure, and develop communication and collaboration skills in the context of a transdisciplinary professional artistic collaboration. Afterwards, students are expected to collaboratively produce a final film to share their interpretations of the art and reflect on their learning experiences.
The project requires full attendance on Saturday 22 Oct (2pm – 10pm) and Sunday 23 Oct (10am – 6pm) and at least 20 hours of total work. Students who complete the project will be paid a modest stipend.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with the project coordinator Dr Jack Tsao (jtsao@hku.hk) at the Common Core.
The project is open to all undergraduate students with limited places.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until 19 Oct 2022 noon. Early applications are strongly encouraged.
