Thank you for your continued patience as we have been preparing for the 2020-2021 school year. Your feedback continues to be very important to us and we have spent considerable time developing learning options to meet the needs of students and families during this unprecedented time. Please know that the final details of what we are developing as "at-school/in-person" and "at-home/remote" options for students and families will be shared soon and may continue to change as we receive updates and guidance from our Kansas State Department of Education and from health officials. As always, the health and safety of our students and staff will remain our top priority.

As per the Kansas executive order 20-59 issued by Governor Kelly on Monday, July 20, 2020, in efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure health practices are in place for the safety of all, the following mandates will be observed:

1. K-12 public and private schools shall require all students, faculty, staff, vendors and other visitors to public or private K-12 school attendance centers to cover their mouth and nose with a mask or other face covering at all times with exceptions as outlined by the executive order 20-59.

2. Throughout all public or private K-12 school buildings or facilities individuals shall maintain a 6-foot distance from other individuals with only infrequent or incidental moments of closer proximity.

3. Hand sanitizer shall be made available in all public or private K-12 classrooms and shall be made conveniently accessible throughout other areas of K-12 public or private school buildings or facilities. Students and faculty shall sanitize their hands at regular intervals throughout the school day and no less than once every hour.

4. Individuals entering all public or private K-12 attendance centers shall have their temperatures checked before entering the building for the first time each day.

On campus, face to face learning - On campus with the traditional instruction model. Safety measures are followed as outlined by the executive order.

Remote learning - 6 hours of daily participation by the student in learning activities, 9-week commitment for all grades; Daily participation by the student through teacher initiated contact; Daily remote learning log completion; Participation in the same assessments as students who are attending school in-person.

Virtual Program - Centre's Kansas Online Learning Program (KOLP) kansasonlinelearning.org - Grades K-5 is a 1 yr. commitment, Grades 6-12 a semester commitment; this program is offered by our own virtual teaching staff. Before considering an alternative virtual program, contact KOLP at kansasonlinelearning.org for early enrollment.
