To become a 2024 member, please complete all items below and submit this form, along with full or partial payment (at least 25% if possible).  The full sum is due no later than August 1st.

I understand that as a Farm Member I am entitled to all the rights and responsibilities of membership as outlined in the bylaws:
- I get access to the farm and am invited to participate in the life of farm and volunteer some hours as I see fit.
- I can participate with ongoing farm chores
- I can help harvest from the garden, fruit trees, wild edibles
- I can feed the goats, sheep, cows
- I can picnic with my children, take nature walks, enjoy the farm as a big backyard
- I can participate in farm festivals, bonfires, workshops
- I can connect to a diverse community of fellow members
- I can be part of a community-based organization
- I can attend meetings and have a vote

I wish to purchase a Crop Share for ($500 - $1000 per share, with a target of $700). 

I will pay what I can sustainably afford, knowing that those who pay more than the target can help support others, and those who pay less than the target are being supported by others.

I will give 12 volunteer hours. (If I purchase more than one share, the volunteer hours do not increase.)

I understand that the crop plan for 2024 is primarily for summer and fall harvests. 

By purchasing a crop share, I agree to the following conditions: 
- I understand the farm is committed to making best efforts to grow the crops listed on the crop production list. 
- I understand the volume of each listed crop will vary.
- I understand that the Community Farm of Ann Arbor is transitioning to a no-till, regenerative model of agriculture, in addition to the existing biodynamic practices. This transition may affect production for this year, with the intent that future years will improve, following a 10 year plan that is being formulated. 
- I understand that I will share in possible risks from adverse weather and the shift in farming methods.
- I will pick up my share at the farm during the designated time slot. Pickup days will be Wednesdays and Saturdays for 3-4 hours, at a time to be
determined. 
- I will participate in one or more of the Membership Involvement Options to fulfill my Volunteer Hours.

If you want to share your CSA Crop Share with another person or household, they must fill out a separate membership form.  Please fill in their name below.

As members of the Community Farm, both people/households are welcome to come out to work and play and participate in any and all activities at the farm.

The two persons/households can divide the costs and the 12 volunteer hours as they see fit.

My Crop Wish List: 
These 5 summer or fall crops are at the top of my list to have in my CSA share. (Feel free to write in crops that are not on the above list.) I understand the farm manager will make the final decision as to which crops to grow in a given season.

Membership Involvement/Volunteer Hours

I understand that Crop Share Members typically give twelve (12) volunteer hours toward the operation of the farm, on work days or other days as needed. When I volunteer, I get to meet and work with others who share a love of the farm.

The farm community values my attendance at member meetings, which counts toward volunteer hours. I understand that my opinions are important to the consensus process of the farm’s strategy and operation.

DONATED SHARES FOR OUR LOW-INCOME/UNHOUSED NEIGHBORS (optional)

You can donate to provide people of Washtenaw County who are low income or unhoused with weekly fresh, healthy produce. We are fundraising to provide two shares of Community Farm produce to Peace House of Ypsilanti.

Farm Operations Fund Donation (Optional)

I would like to give funds toward Farm Operations in addition to, or separate from, becoming a member or purchasing a CSA Crop Share. I understand that my donation is greatly needed for the farm's success.

For 2024 the Farm needs a minimum amount of $12,500 for general operations and $2500 for animal care. Operational needs of the farm, including the land, animals, structures, and communications, will be prioritized, and funds used accordingly.
