Reminders to show staff

If your show rules state otherwise, you must make an exception in the following cases for OCCA members:

  • OCCA rules state that eligible exhibitors are between age 8 and 20 years of age; who are or were regularly enrolled in school up until graduation, if OCCA sanctioned your show, you must allow our members in this age range to show.
  • OCCA rules require exhibitors to show their own animals in the ring when collecting OCCA points.
  • OCCA heifer exhibitors are allowed to show 90 days from date of purchase on a heifer bill of sale to allow time for transfers and mailing of registration papers.
  • OCCA will enforce the OCCA rulebook for our members in regards to points earned. We do not expect you to monitor these situations, however if your show staff sees a violation, please feel free to contact an OCCA board member or make a note on your class sheets being returned to OCCA.
Please be sure to review additional guidelines and criteria on the OCCA Website.
