Being a volunteer is a great way to connect with other members of the club, as well as providing experience for running events and an inside look on how we do things. You'll also be getting your entry fee waived and free access to leftover food.
Cosplay is welcomed and encouraged for any front-facing roles such as servers, hosts, registration, etc. If you don't have a cosplay, please at least wear fancy dress appropriate to the theme- the isekai izakaya, or the isekaiya, if you will. For those in back-end roles like kitchen staff, please dress practically.
The volunteer positions and their descriptions are listed below:
⋆ Servers
Helping out with the main focus of the event, servers will be managing guests at the tables, serving food, and helping to keep guests entertained. This will include socializing and possibly playing games with the guests at their table during their wait for the food. As this is a position requiring quite a bit of work, servers will be expected to attend at least one orientation day before the actual event.
⋆ Hosts
Hosts are in charge of directing guests to their seats, explaining rules of the cafe to the guests, helping servers with duties, and making sure the cafe runs smoothly. In addition to that, hosts are expected to take down phone numbers of people who are waiting and notify them when their wait time is almost up. Hosts will also be expected to attend at least one orientation day before the actual event.
⋆ Kitchen Staff
This position will be in charge of preparing food, washing dishes, and making sure food gets to the correct servers and tables. Two mandatory orientations will be needed. We will be teaching you how to create the dishes at the orientations.
Sub categories:
⚝ Cooks: You will be in the kitchen most of the time cooking main dishes. We will most likely assign each person to constantly be cooking the same dish. Ideally, we would like volunteers who are confident in cooking and know what they are doing.
⚝ Drinks and snacks: You will be preparing the drinks and smaller snacks on the menu. Though they may not be full scale cooking like the main dishes, these still require some proficiency in cooking and making drinks.
⚝ Dishwasher: Exactly as the title suggests.
⚝ Floaters: Someone flexible who can fill in for any of these above roles as needed.
* Registration
Registration handles entries and exits into the venues. This will include checking everyone's vaccine passports and IDs, as well as handling ticket sale checking and membership sales at the door.
⋆ Security
This position will require you to monitor the entrances to the venue, and making sure that the people inside the event have wristbands on. Other duties may also include making sure that nothing potentially dangerous is going on, and escorting people out of the event if needed.
* Performance

These roles are smaller roles, but will still require volunteers.
⚝ Photographer
You'll be tasked with taking photos throughout the event.
⚝ Decorations
This position might require you to help out on the day of the event.
⚝ Programmer
Programmers are tasked with helping collect and organize a schedule for performances before the event, and helping put up and take down equipment as needed for the performers.
