MNAFEE Annual Conference Call for Presentations - 2023
MNAFEE's 2023 Family & Early Childhood Education Conference is scheduled for April 12 - 14, 2023 at the St Cloud River's Edge Convention Center and Best Western Kelly Inn in St Cloud, MN.

Presentations are sought which address the areas of: program leadership, parent education and early childhood education. The planning committee would like to see a balanced program which examines current issues related to program standards, philosophy, practice, policy, local influences, new initiatives, current trends, leadership, customer service and more. The goal of the committee is to have a conference that will address the needs of current and future program administrators and practitioners.

Presentation topics may include but are not limited to; human resource issues, managing employees, emerging issues in the field, literacy, brain development, classroom environment, curriculum, indicators, assessment, inclusion, community partnerships, health support, cultural considerations, outreach, marketing, licensing, reflective practice, challenging family situations, mandatory reporting, legal issues, children's mental health, technology, early childhood screening and early childhood special education. We are also looking to have at least one workshop each time period that would fulfill Parent Aware and licensing requirements.

Sessions are scheduled for 1½ hours Thursday morning and afternoon and Friday morning. If you need a longer time slot you can schedule two 1½ hour slots Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.

EPL (Eat, Ponder and Learn) discussions will be held on Thursday afternoon from 4:30-5:30. If you are unable to do a workshop, consider hosting an EPL discussion. The EPL session is an informal discussion/sharing time on a particular topic.

Members of the planning committee will review proposals and respond to presenters no later than January 31, 2023.

To ensure consideration, proposals must be received no later than January 15

You will be contacted regarding the status of your proposal. If you have questions, contact Linda Vukelich (l.vukelich@comcast.net or 651-278-4241).
