We're so excited to announce that we are planning the second PKGO Pride Parade on Saturday, June 12th, 2021. Our Grand Marshal for PKGO Pride this year will be Lea DeLaria, an actress, comedian and jazz singer who is most well known for playing “Big Boo'' on Orange Is The New Black. The Pride Parade will march or drive down Main Street in Poughkeepsie into Waryas Park, where we would love to hold our family friendly Pride Festival, but due to potential COVID restrictions, the Festival is unlikely. So we are planning a month filled with smaller events in order to follow the expected CDC, NYS and Dutchess County Departments of Health guidelines. Some of the events we are planning include a family picnic, a cocktail party, Drag BINGO, a youth Pride event and more. Our first PKGO Pride Parade and Festival in 2019 had over 1000 marchers and over 3000 people attended the festival!
