First, THANK YOU for volunteering to work with Brighton Woods Day Camp!  We are 100% volunteer run so we understand the commitment and passion involved with volunteering for a position like this!

We will be following all state and local COVID guidelines to ensure safety for our campers and staff.

Next steps: 
1) Register yourself and your camper(s) as Girl Scouts through https://mygs.girlscouts.org/ 
2) Designate yourself as an Adult Volunteer for Brighton Woods Day Camp
3) Complete a background check
  -All volunteers at Brighton Woods Day Camp are background checked!  
  -Complete the background check triggered by designating yourself on mygs
  -You should not need to do this step if you have done this in a past year
4) Register yourself & campers coming with you for camp through Doubleknot. 
  -After you fill out this form, we will send you the staff discount code. 
  -You may need to make a new account if you haven't previously used Doubleknot.
  -Early registration for Staff opens in January *If you complete this form while staff registration is open, we will send you the link with the discount code
  -Registration opens for everyone February 22rd
5) If you are a new volunteer, we will follow up your application with a phone interview and will be in touch to schedule that interview!
6) Attend a training!
  -All staff are required to attend ONE of the three training options
  -A sign up form will go out closer to the trainings
7) Keep in contact!
  -Check your email for updates from us!
  -Keep us updated if anything changes!

Each bus is required to have one of our Adult Staff; if you say yes we will reach out to you to try to match you up with the route that works best for you!

Are you able to attend the teen overnight (the first Friday night)?
This is our 'thank you' to our teen staff. It is optional, but we do need some adults to stay over!

Are you able to attend the all camp overnight (second Tuesday of camp)?
It is expected that all adult volunteers will stay overnight, but we are able to work with you to figure something else out if needed!

Along with the responsibilities during camp, do you agree to do the following in the time leading up to camp;
-check & respond to emails regularly
-register yourself & any children coming to camp with you ASAP
-fill out and return forms sent out ASAP
-attend training
-after unit assignments are made, communicate with your unit before camp to get to know each other and begin to plan (we will help with this!)
-communicate with us/keep us updated; we understand things can change! We ask that you keep us updated if anything camp related (ie your availability) changes; please let us know so we can do our best to support our camp AND our volunteers!
