In November 2022, the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program (Aspen CEP) and Community College Research Center (CCRC) began a two-year effort to publish the second editions of
Over the next two years, Aspen CEP and CCRC will work with the National Student Clearinghouse to produce comprehensive, disaggregated, and actionable data for every state and college in the country to ensure stronger, more equitable outcomes for transfer students.
The updated
Tracking Transfer report will ensure national and state leaders know what their transfer outcomes are for all students--and importantly, the Black, Hispanic, and low-income students most likely to be shut out of a bachelor's degree. Based on what we learn from the community college and university transfer partnerships delivering the strongest outcomes for students of color, we will produce an updated
Transfer Playbook in 2024 that gives every college and university in the nation a roadmap to delivering better transfer outcomes and remedying longstanding inequities in transfer.
To ensure our research captures the most recent efforts, we're searching for community college and four-year institution partnerships with transfer programs and practices that are proven to deliver better and more equitable outcomes for transfer students. Do your transfer outcomes exceed national averages, especially for students of color and lower-income students? If you have evidence that your transfer practices are leading to stronger and more equitable outcomes, we want to hear about it! Please fill out the short form below to share details about your work.
Submissions are due by August 31, 2023.
If your outcomes are among the highest and most equitable in the nation, we'll reach back out to gather more information about your practices and possibly feature your work in the Playbook. Thank you for your leadership in advancing student success and equity for all transfer students.
