The Friends Of the Brainerd Public Library (FOBPL) Board consists of a group of dedicated people that care about the Brainerd Public Library and the importance of the Library in our community.

The FOBPL Board meets monthly on first Mondays of the month at 4:30 pm at the Brainerd Public Library. These monthly meetings last around an hour and a half. As a Board Member, you would be expected to attend most of these meetings. Occasionally we will have a special meeting, or a monthly meeting time will change due to a holiday or other reasons.

Applicants should be a current FOBPL Member, as well as have been involved in volunteering or participating in Friends and/or Library events in the past. FOBPL membership is renewed yearly with the exception of Lifetime Memberships.

If you are interested in being part of a fun, active, and vibrant group that works to raise awareness as well as funds for our local library, please fill out the following application.

We are currently accepting applications to finish a term ending in January 2024, with option to stay on two additional terms. Applicants being considered will be contacted by our Nominating Committee.
