It is becoming increasingly difficult for startups in Africa and across the world to compete for talent.

Considering how global the world's workforce has become and with big tech companies offering sky-high salaries, robust benefits, and incredible perks, such enticements are ultimately driving up the size of funding startups need to grow their teams.

On the other side of the problem, the effort companies seem to put into hiring far outbalances the effort that should be put into managing, training, retaining and rewarding talent. This has led to more employees voluntarily turning over than ever before.

With all of this in mind, we at Venture for Africa (http://venturefor.africa) have put together this survey to understand the state of talent retention in Africa's startup ecosystem.
