UArizona Divest Pledge to Withhold UAF Donations

To the University of Arizona Foundation Investments Committee and Board of Trustees:

We, the undersigned, are demanding that the UArizona Foundation comply with UArizona Divests four requests of fossil fuel divestment, improved sustainable investment strategies, and inclusion of student voices in all future UArizona Foundation Investment Committee and Board of Trustees decisions.

Until such actions are taken, we pledge to withhold all donations to the University of Arizona and subsequently its endowment – with the exception of direct donations to affiliated student centers, programs, and organizations. We cannot and will not stand with the UArizona Foundation as they refuse to take meaningful climate action and recognize the role fossil fuel investments play in the worsening climate crisis.

To the UArizona Foundation Investments Committee, opportunity knocks but only if you take a stand and close the door with the fossil fuel industry.
