AGU Equity Liaison
Reach out to AGU Ethics and Equity Center about coordination of DEI efforts across sections
Work with chairperson or general membership to write a statement of assertion of values for HEWG
Advocate to AGU Ethics and Equity about incorporating elements of that statement of values
Monthly time commitment of at least 2 hrs
Skills: experience with advocacy, knowledgeable about DEI, good written communication

Set and lead monthly meetings
Maintain written documentation on central goals (Charter)
Address requests from NH leadership
Work with AGU Equity Liaison to write statement of assertion of values
Ensure that HEWG is fulfilling its mission
Monthly time commitment of at least 4 hrs
Skills: organization, written and verbal communication, effective leadership
Member Engagement Lead
Compile and send monthly newsletters with input from task team leads, including communicating with task team leads about the schedule for their monthly updates
Create a monthly member spotlight to highlight a member, group, or accomplishment within HEWG
Troubleshoot listserv issues
Monthly time commitment of ~4 hrs
Skills: good written communication
Reporter
Take notes at meetings
Responsible for archiving of documents
Monthly time commitment of ~1-2 hrs
Skills: good written communication, active listening, organization, experience with Google Drive
Social Media Chair
Publicize subcommittee activities
Social media presence
Respond to media / public information requests
Respond to requests to post on behalf of group members
Monthly time commitment of ~4 hrs
Skills: social media experience, media training, verbal communication
Web Lead
Populate & maintain website
Respond to requests to add content/pages
Monthly time commitment of ~1-2 hrs
Skills: web-building proficiency or willingness to learn Google Sites and graphic/aesthetic awareness
