Welcome to our Guardian Home Application! We occasionally have spots for guardian dogs. We believe in providing the best possible lives for our beloved dogs, and your involvement as a guardian home is crucial for that. This questionnaire helps us find loving and responsible homes for our potential breeding parents. It creates a win-win-win situation for the guardian home, dog, and us. By participating in our program, you become an essential part of our extended family, ensuring a happy and fulfilling life for our precious dogs while experiencing the joy and companionship they bring. We look forward to getting to know you! Our guardian families need to live in Utah. For males, within 30 minutes of Pleasant Grove and for females within about 2-3 hours of Pleasant Grove. 

Guardian Home Responsibilities:
  • Provides a safe and loving life long home for the dog
  • Keeps dog up to date on all necessary vaccinations and veterinary care
  • Provides proper nutrition, exercise, and mental stimulation to maintain the dog's overall health
  • Ensures the dog receives regular grooming and is kept in good condition
  • Keeps dog readily available for breedings. For males, this can sometimes be very short notice as occasionally last-minute breedings occur. For females, we usually will know further in advance based on their cycles. Females will come to the our home a few days before whelping, and stay with us until their puppies are about 7 to 7.5 weeks old
Destination Doodles Responsibilities:
  • Provides a free top-quality puppy/dog
  • Pays for all breeding expenses including genetic and health testing
  • Pays a small amount of money to guardian home per breeding/litter (This helps go toward food, grooming, etc.)
  • Pays for spay/neuter of dog when it retires from breeding

Do you travel a lot? Will you be able to make arrangements for the puppy when you are gone? (We need the dog available to us, but unfortunately cannot have them stay at our home in order to keep our puppies safe from outside germs :) For males, we are usually able to provide notice a few days in advance, but they can sometimes be short notice as last-minute breedings occasionally occur. We are always willing to be accommodating and pick up the dog if you are unable to bring them. For females, we usually will know further in advance based on their cycles. Is this something you understand and are willing to accommodate?
It is important that our guardian dogs are always up to date on their vaccinations and are kept well-groomed (clean and mat-free) and presentable. This includes annual vaccinations and deworming. Professional grooming should be about every 8-10 weeks and may cost $50-100. Is this something you understand and are willing to do?
