Using Telepsychiatry to deliver mental health care during the COVID-19 pandemic
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak threatens to have long-term consequences on the mental health of vulnerable persons. Besides direct effects of viral infection, mental issues may emerge in response to the huge social impact of the pandemic, in terms of social isolation, trauma and grief, uncertainty and misinformation. Notwithstandig this, the ability to provide usual mental health care has been disrupted by the pandemic, following lockdown measures and block on many outpatient services. Telepsychiatry (i.e., providing mental health care remotely, using telecommunications such as telephone or video conferencing tools) may help to support patients during these difficult times. This survey explores the experience of mental health professionals with telepsychiatry during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The researcher requests your consent for participation in the research study  "Using Telepsychiatry to deliver mental health care during the COVID-19 pandemic". You will be asked to complete the following survey (estimated time: 10 min).
This consent form asks you to allow the researcher to collect and store your response to enhance understanding of the topic. Your data will be collected and stored according to the (EU) 2016/679 GDPR on the protection of personal data.
Participation in this study is completely voluntary. If you decide not to participate there will not be any negative consequences. Please be aware that if you decide to participate, you may stop participating at any time and you may decide not to answer any specific question.
Knowledge of your identity is not required. You will not be required to write your name or any other identifying information on the survey. Thus, after sending your response, you will not be able to withdraw your data as they will no longer be associated to your identity. All research materials will be held confidential by the Principal Investigator and kept in a secure location. Anonymous aggregate information will be used in scientific publications.
