The Spring 2020 CCNY Biology Honors/Independent Study application period is now closed. Submitted applications are being reviewed.

Unless notified, expect to be enrolled shortly before the start of the Spring 2020 semester.

Ensure that your Spring 2020 schedule would not be overloaded given the addition of the course credit. Failure to do so will prevent your enrollment.

Independent Study students that would like to present their research findings should contact Dr. Osceola Whitney and/or Ms. Christine early in the spring semester. Students completing 3 semesters of Independent Study may present their research along with the Honors students at the Annual Biology Undergraduate Research Presentations, which is usually held in late March/early April (details provided later). Each student will have 10 min to present their research and 5 min to answer questions. Presentation quality factors into determining the recipients of departmental awards.

- Graded paper and progress report for Spring 2020 ([~May 14-22], classes end to finals end)
- Summer 2020 Honors/Independent Study applications ([~March 18-May 18])
- Graded paper and progress report for Summer 2020 ([~July 20-22], classes end to finals end)
- Fall 2020 Honors/Independent Study applications ([~March 18-Aug 3])
