[YWLC] Members Circle Proposal
Members Circles are sub-communities within YWLC formed by members who share mutual interests or shared characteristics.

The circle shall have a minimum of 5 active members (with current membership status) and organize periodic meet-ups, workshops and other activities relevant to the members. The Circle shall have 1 Circle Lead and 4 Founding Members.

A Circle Lead is defined as a member who initiated the Member Circle. The Circle Lead shall manage the circle for a minimum period of 1 year, in collaboration with the Director of Member Engagement. She shall also scout for new Circle Lead at least 2 months before handing over the reins. Existing Circle Lead should propose name(s) of the new Circle Lead and obtain approval from the Director of Member Engagement prior to approaching potential new Circle Lead(s). A Founding Member is defined as a member whom the Circle Lead has approached to form the circle with.

Submit your proposal for a new Members Circle by filling in the form below.  Please note that approval of the Members Circle will take between 4 to 6 weeks.

On approval of the Members Circle, the Director of Member Engagement will reach out to the Circle Lead via email (founding members in CC) to provide notice of approval and to discuss launch plans.

The Circle should be launched within a month from approval, including:
(a) Circle Lead to collaborate with Marcomms subcommittee to prepare the launch publicity materials. Formal launch to be shared on YWLC’s social media channels (Instagram and Internal FacebookGroup) and Newsletter.
(b) Director or Deputy of Member Engagement to create Google Registration form which should minimally include registrants’ names, YWLC-registered email addresses and phone numbers to be created. Additional questions asking registrants’ preference for specific event/workshop topics can also be included.
(c) Circle Lead to create a Telegram chat to serve as a primary communication channel for the group. The Director and Deputy Director of Member Engagement must be added to the group chat. Circle Lead and Founding Members shall not add in members whose membership status has not been verified.
Circle Lead to initiate and arrange the first meet-up between circle members.

The first meet-up between circle members to be arranged within 3 months of Circle formation
