Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the 2023-2024 STEM Showcase! The Showcase is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2024, on campus at The University of Alabama. This is a wonderful opportunity for middle school students (grades 6-8) in the Tuscaloosa area. Students are connected with UA faculty, staff, or graduate students who serve as mentors to help guide their project or serve as judges on the day of the Showcase. Winners may go on to participate in the Central Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair (CARSEF) at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Volunteer opportunities: Mentor or Judge

Mentor--works with students to guide project development from September to February

Judge--serves the day of the Showcase to score and provide project feedback
