Zoom Reading Buddies Registration Form
Children in grades 2-4 who could benefit from a little support and guidance with their reading will be paired with a trained teen Reading Buddy volunteer to read ebooks together over Zoom. The goal is to help the young buddy improve their confidence and develop a positive attitude toward reading. Buddies meet for 8 sessions on Wednesdays from 4:00-4:30 over Zoom. Program participation will be dependent on volunteer availability and you will be contacted with a start date once a volunteer match has been made.

Do you have a valid St. Albert Public Library card? *
This program is currently limited to St. Albert residents or students of St. Albert schools. While a library card is not required, it does help if your child would like to continue with reading resources.
Do you have a computer or laptop with a strong Internet connection? *
Phones or tablets may not provide a large enough text size for young readers. A strong internet connection supports stability in virtual meetings.
I confirm that once my child is matched with a buddy, I will do my best to ensure they are in attendance for their scheduled sessions. *
We value the time and commitment of our volunteers. We will reach out to confirm a start date. If a child is unable to attend any sessions, we appreciate being able to inform their volunteer at the earliest known time.
