Thank you for your interest in speaking at an upcoming board meeting.  We highly value input from our community.  The Board sets aside time at every meeting to hear items from the public.  In order to ensure that meetings honor everyone’s time, the following protocols have been put in place and are strictly followed.

**Directions for Speaking at a Commerce Little League Board Meeting:**

1. Commerce Little League requires that you fill out and submit the public comment form online at least 1 hour prior to the meeting. This form is available on their website. The form will require your name, contact information, agenda item (if applicable), and your topic of comment.

2.  On the public comment form, you must indicate whether you want to speak in person during the meeting or submit a written comment for consideration.

3.  Comments have a strict 3-minute time limit. Plan what you want to say and prepare your comments in advance. Be concise and focused on the topic you wish to address.   A Board member may interrupt or terminate a participant’s statement when the statement is too lengthy.

4.  Follow Meeting Etiquette: When it's your turn to speak, approach the designated area and state your name before beginning.  Please address the Commerce Little League board respectfully.  Personal attacks or disrespectful language will not be tolerated.

5.  Please note that the Board may ask you questions so you should be prepared to answer concisely and respectfully.  However, the Board will not discuss or take action on the items raised during this meeting.  After questions and clarifications are addressed a board member will say "Thank you for your comments and we will take them into consideration."
