Code of Conduct

Center Grove Ultimate Club (CGUC) is committed to fostering a safe environment for all its athletes. All participants are expected to abide by the standards of behavior outlined:

Spirit of the Game

Treat others with respect on the field of play, conduct yourself in a safe manner and abide by Ultimate’s Spirit of the Game.

Learn and adhere to Ultimate game rules.

Avoid fouling, intentional contact, and dangerous plays.

Clearly and concisely explain your perspective, while remaining open to consider your opponents’ viewpoint.

Be respectful and aware of your words and body language when having a disagreement or when resolving a conflict.

Assume good intentions of your opponent and respect their dignity both during play and when addressing calls.

Use kind and respectful language when addressing another player. Never use profanity when speaking to an individual or to a group of team members.

Player Conduct

Foster an inclusive environment for all members of the Club no matter race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or ability and/or disability. Honor one another’s differences in positive and supportive ways.

Do not engage in or condone any form of discrimination or harassment.

Do not threaten, bully, assault, harass, or engage in any emotional, physical, or sexual abuse or misconduct.

Do not engage in Intimate behavior during club activities.

Pictures and/or videos of any kind are not allowed in a locker room setting.

Pictures and/or videos of others off the field should not be taken or shared without expressed verbal consent.

Travel & Hotels

Be respectful of hotel property. Abide by all hotel rules. Do not damage or misuse items within the hotel. Leave the room in the condition you found it when you arrived.

If destruction of hotel property occurs, then you or your parents will be held financially responsible.

Talk with a chaperone or coach if you wish to change your assigned room. Room changes cannot be made without chaperone or coach approval.

Before curfew hours, students of the opposite gender may only be in the same room in larger groups (never paired off alone), and the door must remain open. Students of the opposite gender cannot be in the same room after curfew.

Pictures and/or videos of any kind are not allowed in a bathroom setting.
