The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a wave of change in the lives of people. The increase in the spread of the disease and the enforcement of Lockdown Worldwide altered the lifestyles of people.

While taking care of physical health, mental well-being is ‘Equally Important’ to look after. Hence, Youth Thinkers' Society in collaboration with UN Women Nepal initiated the Podcast " Stress Counselling Through Podcast Series in Response to COVID-19". The Podcast aims to raise awareness regarding mental health issues triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic and provide possible solutions and advice to mitigate it. Also, it aims to inform and stimulate discussion about psychological health and minimize stereotypes around it. This is a forum to be vocal about issues associated with mental health and persuade those who’re suffering in silence to seek support.

As of June 2020, 1647 Suicide cases have been filed in police stations all over Nepal. Most suicide cases are related to psychiatric disease with depression, substance use disorders, and psychosis being the most relevant risk factors. Thus, understanding the importance of Mental Well Being to prevent suicide cases, we are coming up with an Episode relating to Suicide Prevention.

In this episode, our experts will consult about the problem and share how to overcome the suicidal thoughts. Also, we will be sharing your story on our episode which will help our audience and listeners deal and relate with the psychological problems if any.

Hence, we would like to request you to share your story.
