All current affiliates of Johns Hopkins University and other Maryland Space Grant Consortium member institutions (full list here:
https://md.spacegrant.org/about-mdsgc/our-members/) are eligible to be trained to use the Morris W. Offit Telescope. If you would like to be added to the list serve which announces the training sessions, please fill out the form below. For each training, we select individuals off of the waitlist by lottery, and contact them. Therefore, if you are not contacted - do not worry, we will contact you for a future training!
Training is run by JHU graduate students, primarily a single individual, the MDSGC Observatory Fellow. We therefore have a limited capacity to train new users. To prevent an overly long waitlist, we ask that only those interested in regularly using the telescope sign up for training. If enough respondents are interested in getting more time with telescope, but do not intend to make regular use of it, we will organize small group events for them.

Providing your gender, race or ethnicity information is optional. However, please be advised that such information is necessary to NASA to assess the effectiveness of MDSGC programs in recruiting a diverse pool of participants. Your submission will not be shared outside of the NASA/Space Grant network, except for reporting aggregate demographics. Therefore, MDSGC requests that you kindly complete this section of the form if possible.
