PROGRAM ORIGIN AND PURPOSE
COVID disproportionately impacted Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color, immigrants, refugees, and people with disabilities. In 2020 and 2021, the City of Portland responded to COVID with a variety of programs intended to support communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic emergency. These efforts demonstrated the value of working with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to better serve Portland’s diverse communities. This grant will build on successful elements of the City’s pandemic response to support recovery and resilience-building in Portland, in continued partnership with CBOs.
We are looking for a selection committee members to help us evaluate the grant applications starting July 2nd through September 30th, 2022.
We expect members to review the grants with an open mind, applying the selection criteria established by the City, and to work collaboratively with other committee members to reach consensus on the awards. The selection committee members will be paid for their time.
Here are the key responsibilities for the selection committee.
The selection committee members are expected to spend at least 10-12 hours to review the grant application materials. Below are the grant applications review and scoring dates:
July 2 through July 22: Review and score letter of interests and sponsorship applications
July 22: Submit scores for evaluation
July 25: Meet as a committee to finalize selection of organizations who are invited to submit a full application
September 5 through September 26: Review and score full applications
September 28: Submit scores for evaluation
