As we approach the winter sports season at Kennett Middle School, we are working diligently to create a safe & healthy plan, and update protocols to offer girls basketball, boys basketball, alpine and Nordic skiing to our students, with cautions and concerns with the continuation of the Covid-19 Pandemic. If you have already taken and passed an ImPACT test, you do not need to retake the test. Any new, untested athletes must complete the test prior to the first practice. Info can be found on

What will the winter sports season look like? Each sport and its starting date will vary based on indoor/outdoor space, weather and sign up numbers. Information can be found at

Basketball will start off before Thanksgiving with a few days of conditioning, skills and drills before separating in to teams after Thanksgiving Break. Games will beginning in mid December and finish up in February.
Nordic and Alpine skiing typically start after Thanksgiving break with dry land training inside and out, and is based on weather and snow conditions. Meets will not start until mid January and will finish by late February.
