In order to keep Model Hogwarts a safe and positive environment where people can have fun, be creative and have a good time, a level of moderation is needed to keep everyone within reasonable boundaries. While the admin team focuses on running the model day-to-day, improving user experience and implementing fresh ideas, the mod team exists to maintain relations with and between people on the server. The team works together to ensure harm is prevented, disputes are resolved and fair punishments are given out.

NOTE 1: If you would prefer to apply via a DM interview, then please message one of the admins asking for one. Note that you will be asked the same questions as those in this form.

NOTE 2: It is strongly preferred that all applicants have been on Model Hogwarts for at least three months, and shown a consistent and high level of activity on the server.

The moderation team is responsible for:

Moderation:
- Keeping an eye on model channels to make sure rules are adhered to.
- Taking action to prevent and deal with rule-breaking in situations where urgent intervention is needed.

Action Reports:
- Bringing complaints and reports of rule-breaking to the team.
- Contributing to discussions about reports and the appropriate course of action.
- Voting on proposed decisions and courses of action.

Public Relations:
- DMing people warnings, ban notifications and other moderator communications.
- Logging actions taken in the logging channel and ensuring it is up to date.
- Keeping the community informed of major ban reasons.
- Managing and contributing to moderator private discussions.
